We are starting a project in northern Pine County on one of their fine lakes. It involves selective demolition of an existing cabin and adding onto the cabin to create a ‘new’ cabin. It is always enjoyable to work in a lake area setting.
One of the tasks the owners undertook was reconstructing a new boat house near the lake. It is
always a challenge working near water where silt fence and other measures are needed to protect the lake. On this job a conveyor was used to place the concrete for the footings. The conveyor attaches to the back of the ready-mixed concrete truck and unfolds on the site. A rubber chute catches the concrete as it falls off the conveyor so it can be directed into the forms. It is a good way to place concrete on small jobs and saves the expense of a concrete pump.
